How does duty deferral actually work?
Your goods sit in customs-controlled storage from the time they land until you move them, and duty and GST are payable when they leave rather than when they arrive. For slow-moving or seasonal import stock that can be a large amount of cash you are not tying up. Tell us the volume and the timing and we will confirm the arrangement before anyone quotes.
Can you hold bonded goods in Calgary?
Bonded storage runs through Vancouver rather than Calgary. Once your goods clear customs we truck them to Calgary on our own equipment, six days a week.
Who do we contract with?
Rolls Right. One agreement covers the bonded storage and everything around it: the container off the port, the de-stuffing, and the onward freight once the goods clear. One invoice, and one company answering for the account.
