Questions about high-pile storage in Calgary
What does ESFR change for me?
Early Suppression Fast Response (ESFR) sprinklers let a building store goods higher than a standard system allows. More of your product fits in the same footprint, and we can take classes of goods that a building without ESFR has to refuse.
Will my product qualify?
Most dry ambient goods will. Send us what you're storing (commodity class, packaging, and how it palletizes) and we'll confirm before we quote.
Anything worth flagging before we quote?
Cooler and freezer product runs at Rolls Right Cold Storage in Vancouver. Certified or specialty requirements get confirmed case by case, so tell us what you hold. Beyond that, the limit is commodity class against the sprinkler design, and we confirm that before we quote.
Does high-pile storage cost more than standard racking?
Per position, it's a similar price. What changes is how many positions your product needs, because you pay for the cube you occupy rather than the floor you cover. Dense, stackable product usually costs less in total than the same pallets would in a building with a lower ceiling, so we work the number out from your actual product.
