Transportation & Freight in Calgary, the short version
Rolls Right started as a trucking company in 1976 and still is one. Around 165 power units, roughly 500 trailers and 16 vehicle types (one-ton trucks up to 53-foot tandems). All of it ours. Most 3PLs are a warehouse with a phone number for freight. We own the equipment, every truck is GPS-tracked, and dispatch runs 24/7. That means the warehouse and the trucking come off one conversation, one invoice, and one company you can hold responsible when something slips. The scale is real: for Dollarama alone we move over 50,000 pallets a year across Vancouver and Calgary.

FAQ
Transportation in Calgary, questions
Can I use the trucking without the warehouse?
Yes. Plenty of customers only use freight. It's also often how a warehouse conversation starts a year later.
You truck refrigerated as well?
Yes — we run reefer trucks, and the cold storage side runs at Rolls Right Cold Storage in Vancouver. We haul to and from it on our own equipment, so if you need both it's one account and one invoice.
Are you insured for freight you don't haul yourselves?
Yes, and it's the right question to ask any asset-based carrier. We carry $20M umbrella liability, per occurrence and in the aggregate, and $1M all-risk cargo cover that includes contingent cargo — the piece that covers freight moved by carriers other than our own fleet. Certificates are available on request.
What if the delivery point has no dock?
That's what the flat deck and power-tailgate equipment is for, and at the small end we run one-ton trucks across sixteen vehicle types. Tell us the delivery point when you ask for the rate rather than after it's booked: a site without a dock needs a different truck, not a surcharge on the wrong one.
