Receiving & Handling in Calgary

Everything that happens between the truck and the rack, and then between the rack and the next truck. Receiving, put-away, counts, staging, shrink wrap and load-out, across six dock doors.

Receiving & Handling in Calgary, the short version

Everything that happens between the truck and the rack, and then between the rack and the next truck. Receiving, put-away, counts, staging, shrink wrap and load-out, across six dock doors. On an active account this is often as big a line as the storage itself. We'd rather you knew that up front than found it on the first invoice. Six dock doors means receiving and shipping don't have to compete for the same door, which is the usual reason a booked window quietly slips.

How onboarding works

From first call to first pallet.

Same process whichever service you start with.

  1. Tell us what you move

Pallet count, how often it turns, what's in it, and where it ships. Five minutes on the form or ten on the phone.

    Day 0

  2. We quote it

Storage, handling in and out, container work and freight, every line visible. If the building doesn't fit your product we say so here, not later.

    Within 48 hours

  3. Walk the floor

Come and see it. A site tour is the fastest way to know whether a building works for you, and we'd rather you looked before you signed.

    Your schedule

  4. Credit and agreement

A standard credit check and a signed agreement. No procurement marathon, no five-year lease.

    2–3 days

  5. First receipt

Your first inbound is walked by a supervisor, not handed to whoever's on shift. After that it's routine.

    Days, not months

FAQ

Receiving & Handling in Calgary, questions

How is handling billed?

Per pallet, charged each way, once on the way in, once on the way out. Value-added work like carton picking or rebuilds is quoted separately. Everything appears on the quote before you sign anything.

Can you meet retail DC appointment windows?

Yes. We ship into national retail DCs every week and we know how the appointment systems work. Missing a window costs everybody money, so we treat it as a hard commitment.

Can you receive outside normal hours?

Where the schedule genuinely needs it, yes. After-hours receiving is quoted as its own line rather than folded into a base rate, because it costs us a crew and you should be able to see that when you're comparing two providers. What we won't do is agree to it as a standing arrangement and then staff it unreliably.

How do I see what you're holding?

Real-time inventory visibility through our customer portal, with a demo on request. You shouldn't have to phone a warehouse to find out what you own, and a portal you haven't been shown is a promise rather than a feature — so ask for the demo before you sign.
