For grip, lighting and set-dec houses storing between jobs
Park the gear between shows. Get it back the day you need it.
Dry warehouse space for road cases, flats, backdrops, stands and lighting in Calgary and Vancouver. Lay it out the way your crew works, keep it for the months you need, and move it between the two cities on our own trucks six days a week.
Does Rolls Right store film and production equipment?
Yes. Rolls Right stores film and television production equipment at its Calgary and Vancouver warehouses: road cases, flats, backdrops, stands, sandbags, cable and lighting inventory. A grip, lighting or set-decorating house can take dedicated square footage and work it with its own crew, or leave the pallets to Rolls Right's crew. The Calgary building at 4770 68 Avenue SE has 28-foot clear height, ESFR sprinkler protection rated for high-pile stacking, and six dock doors. Both buildings are dry ambient. Terms run in months instead of a multi-year lease, which suits gear that sits between productions, and Rolls Right runs its own trucks between Calgary and Vancouver six days a week.

The problem
What usually goes wrong.
Gear earns nothing sitting still, but it has to sit somewhere. Between jobs a lighting or grip package needs a floor that is dry, secure, and big enough to keep a kit together. Then it has to come back out on short notice and complete, without a day spent digging cases from behind somebody else's pallets. Most buildings that will rent you that floor want a five-year lease and a build-out, which is a strange commitment to make for inventory whose calendar gets written by other people.
That is the shape we are built for. Take a footprint and lay it out the way your crew works: cases on pallets, flats and backdrops upright, stands and cable within reach. Keep it for the months you need and hand it back when you are done. Or leave the pallets to our crew and let us handle the receiving and the put-away. Plenty of accounts run a bit of each, and moving between the two does not mean moving buildings.
The Calgary to Vancouver lane matters more in this sector than most. Work moves between the two markets and so does gear. Our own trucks run that lane six days a week, so repositioning a package is one conversation with the company already storing it.

What we'll actually claim
No borrowed credibility.
We store production gear on the Vancouver floor today, and we keep our customers' names to ourselves. What we will do is walk you through the building, show you the height, the sprinkler rating and the doors, and let the space make the argument.

FAQ
Questions we get asked
Our storage need is six months on, six months off. Does that work?
That is the normal pattern here, and one of the reasons this building suits the sector. Terms run in months instead of years, so you hold the floor through the season you need and hand it back afterwards. Tell us the shape of your year and the quote will follow it.
Can our own crew work in the space?
Yes. Take dedicated square footage and run it your way: your layout, your racking, your people, your process. We look after the building, the dock and the door. If you would sooner not staff it at all, our crew handles receiving, put-away and getting it back out. Accounts move between the two as their year changes.
How fast can we get gear back out?
That depends on how the space is set up, which is why the layout conversation happens before the quote instead of after. A dedicated footprint you have laid out yourself is fastest, because nothing of ours sits in front of it. Tell us the turnaround you need to hit and we will tell you honestly whether we can hit it.
Where does temperature-sensitive material go?
Somewhere with a controlled band, which means not on either of these floors. Calgary and the Broadway warehouse in Vancouver are both dry ambient, and Broadway is heated. Send us the inventory list and we will flag anything that needs a different building before you commit to this one.
We are shooting in Calgary but the package lives in Vancouver. Can you move it?
Yes, on our own equipment. The line haul between the two cities runs six days a week, so the company storing your gear is the company repositioning it. One contact, one invoice, and nothing handed off to a carrier in the middle.
How quickly do we get a price?
Inside 48 hours. Tell us roughly how much space, what the package is, and whether your crew is working in it or ours. That is enough for a real number instead of a callback asking the same questions again.
